Leverage is not risk
10x describes borrowed exposure. It does not tell you how much of the account you lose if the stop or liquidation hits.
Leverage is a multiplier, not a loss
Two 10x positions can threaten the account in completely different ways. Size, entry, stop distance, and what else is open all change the outcome. The badge on the ticket is not a risk report.
What to read instead
Read capital at risk and how that row ranks against the rest of the book. A low-leverage leftover with no stop can dwarf a tighter 10x that you actually planned.
Stacked beta hides inside leverage
Three ‘small’ alts on similar tapes are one bet. Fibonomy lists mark and size together so you can see concentration that a single leverage number never shows.
Apply this to an open position
Definitions are useful. The next step is seeing mark price and capital at risk on the positions you actually hold.
FAQ
Can low leverage still blow the account?
Yes. Size and stop distance matter more than the leverage badge. A wide stop on a large notional is still a large loss.
Does Fibonomy change leverage?
No. Fibonomy is read-only. It shows how the current leverage, size, and protection add up. It does not place or edit orders.
